While in Costa Rica last week, this critter turned up on one of the walls outside our hotel. It was about 4" long. I have not been able to find any beetle with a fuzzy snout and nothing this big. Also saw a smaller version. Here is the bug: 
Any idea what it is?

Harald and Fredrik. I knew it was some type of weevil, but couldn't find a fuzzy one anywhere.

it looks like its been shot straight in the face with an arrow but yeah cool one there but wouldnt fancy having a 4 inch weevil on my wall lol
