Thanks soooo much to J for her, she gorgeous! and so friendly!

Although we don't tend to name our snakes (all mine are though, lol) i have called her Splodge of my own accord

Actually reason being, She will be joining on the evening of Halloween for a short creepy show at Hatton Country park, to meet the children along with our male Boa who i've had to name too, he is Deisel, and Harry the bearded dragon, also many creepy-crawlies. They only need names for the show but you know how it works, its going to stick i can see it

So without further delay heres a few pics, not very good mind as she doesn't keep still! :P

You've learnt to probe snakes? Well done you.

Don't think that's something I would ever feel confident enough to do.

I didn't think i would either, i did so much research and had watched someone do it, i felt i knew what to do, but i didn't feel confident trying it, luckily someone came round and offered to show me and then i had a turn to under supervision, and after you've done it and been told it was perfect, you feel like you can do anything

So all my snakes are done now...with the exception of the tree boa because that thing flicks poo all over you and musks as soon as you pick it up! :fight:

I think it's the fear that you are going to hurt the snake isn't it?

I think Jimbo needs some practise though. He can start on the tree boa.

see a couple ads for unsexed speckled kingsnakes but its probably not worth the risk buying another male

Sarah I've only just seen the update to this thread - can't believe he was a male all along?!?? 'He' was sold to me as a guaranteed female, I'm sorry to have unwittingly misinformed you. I've not seen a single other one advertised for sale since buying this one, it's such a shame that they aren't nearly as popular as they were 20+ years ago when I got my first one, there were loads of them about back then! :(

J

that's a shame two of mine have been together for the past 4 months i seperated them a month ago and my male just sat with his nose against the glass of his viv for 3 days so i put them back together they are inseperable, i know theyre cannabalistic but when one moves the other follows and they allways sleep together

Nice dot-dash you have there, i've had a couple in the past and they've both been nutcases so i sold them :P i just have my banded banana and poo cali king now with a dash on his tail, keeping him as he suffers sever muscle spasms and some people don't understand it, plus he was my first ever snake and i couldn't sell him if i wanted to!
