Hi, I have been offered a piebald royal python, for what seems a reasonable price, but just checking what I should be paying for it. Does anyone know?

What sex is it?...A male visual Pied can produce a lot more hets than a female visual...therefore quicker to recoup your costs.

Het pieds around the 400-500 mark for decent ones...male visuals can be anything up to £3000 depending on quality...but reasonable around £2000-£2500
females slightly cheaper...but its been a while since I was looking round for royals so could be well wrong :?

Dont touch it with a barge pole, I thought it was a mate of yours that might have lost the plot with a price like that. At that price its deffo a scam.
Cheapest I've heard of a visual pied of that sort of quality is around 2,500....where about is he?...have you checked on captivebred.co.uk classifieds? to see if hes a known scammer?

Unless I ws able to meet up and check the snake out myself I wouldnt send any money, just another thing....if he gives you an address to come and see it...take a few mates round, just in case hes trying to get you round with a load of cash that he can promptly mug off you. worse things have happened

Thanks very much, I will be very careful but he has trading prices everywhere, I google searched his address and there has only been good about he, his snakes, and his monkeys. There is even his address on the internet if the worst does come.

Where about in the World is he?....doesnt make any sense to me at all for anyone to be selling any decent pied at that sort of price when he could get 6-8 times that price for it very easily and quickly unless it was a scam.(you cant even get hets normally for that price!)
Its easy to generate false feedback and alsorts of other stuff. at that price its deffo a scam trust me.
There has been enough people ripped off on this forum by people that were trusted and had so called addresses...but still didnt stop people getting ripped off.....try asking people on captivebred if they have any feedback about the guy, theres no need to tell them what you are buying just enquiring.

Just dont want to see someone get ripped off which is whats going to happen :?

I told him that I never dealt with even potential scammers, and now he still wants me to beleive him. He even told me that he would send the python with a viv, has anyone ever had problems with him before?

I'm sure he'd happily offer to send 6 of them if he thought it would get you to send the money, he almost certainly doesn't own the snake, or the viv. Simply stop replying to his emails and leave it at that.

He spoke to me again and sent the police round to the person who, called him a scammer, I got an apology from the website, and I got a copy of his reptile distributor licence, I dont think that he is a scammer. He has sorted out a fair way to do the exchange.

Well I've said my piece, there is no way the police would get involved in a dispute over someone being called a scammer so hes speaking *brown smelly stuff*, and after speaking to a couple of breeders there is NO WAY a piebald of that quality is going for that price without something seriously wrong with it or the guy being a fool.
Please though WHEN you DO get ripped off PLEASE dont say no one told you.

And for a shop that is cheap!
Hopefully no one will go for this or think of buying one.
